MADE IN EXHIBITION, LISBON

Made In, a new exhibition by Passa Ao Futuro, opens in Lisbon on 27th February. Visit to experience innovative products at the intersection of craft and design.

In the spacious, sun drenched Arquivo Aires Mateus, Portuguese non-profit Passa Ao Futuro will present products created in two initiatives they organised in the context of the Made In Platform for Contemporary Crafts & Design.

Both initiatives, The Made In Basketry Summer School and the Plant Based Design Residencies, focused on basketry, currently the most endangered craft in Portugal. By placing, respectively, students and contemporary designers in partnership with artisans, the initiatives fostered the creation of contemporary products to innovate and strengthen the future of basketry skills.

The Made In exhibition includes diverse product collections born of these collaborations, including lighting, seating, tapestry, handbags, and utilitarian household objects.
